This information gave me an idea. Instead of creating a new mule user and forwarding to a new group (more steps/complexity).

Create a distribution group and call it domain2Support.

Go to properties on it > email addresses tab then uncheck autoupdate at the bottom and add support@domain2.com, set to default, remove domain2Support@domain2.com and save.

By doing this you have labeled your support as being for a different company/domain and given it the email you want and have all the normal features of distribution group management without creating addition users, forward groups, etc.
